Trick-or-Treaters Raid Eleven Bars & Restaurants in The Montrose Crawl

For the past six years, ordinary adults have emerged out of nowhere for a yearly Halloween ritual. This Halloween was no different as these adults shed the skins of their daily, mundane routines to transform into creatures of the night. These hipsters, freaks and geeks dress incognito to conceal their true identities and emerge as trick-or-treaters.

After organizing their plans, the adult creepy crawlers roam Westheimer eating and drinking their way through all the bars and restaurants in the alternative neighborhood of Montrose. They devour food and drinks leaving behind a trail of laughter and merriment not witnessed by most until now.

Houston Press to the Rescue!

Houston Press, a local media publication, asked me to risk my life to capture this devastation on film since most journalists refuse to go near this neighborhood on Halloween. I bravely accepted the task at hand packing powerful lenses to capture these creatures and their nocturnal activities on film. I was geared up and ready to go like a journalistic soldier ready for battle.

Creepy Crawlers in Montrose

Arriving at my destination I tried to blend in with these creatures by maintaining a low profile. Help! They spotted me! As the trick-or-treaters approached me I feared for my life but their curiosity was not for me. For some reason they were fascinated and drawn to my equipment. Many of them posed for the camera as if they were worshiping some sort of idol. Not knowing they were being videotaped I maintained my composure and played along. Their ignorance allowed me to continue documenting the horror as their dancing was almost unbearable to watch. They consumed beer and food at alarming rates. Like zombies they moved from one establishment to the next.

After six hours of following the mob I grew weary. Afraid that I would succumb to their hunger and sadistic rituals I decided to flee. I cannot tell you if or how any survivors remain. For all I know Montrose is now a barren wasteland void of beer and food. I warn you this documentary may not suitable for everyone, watch at your own risk.
